Starters Seminars, bridging technology and entrepreneurship.

During the first semester VUB organises two English taught introductory courses on entrepreneurship and business, with a focus on innovation and technology. With these courses, VUB TechTransfer aims to close the gap between technological innovations in university research centres and entrepreneurship. The interactive seminars provide the basics of entrepreneurship, such as creating a business plan, marketing and innovative financing. Furthermore, high level professionals will share their knowledge and expertise during these seminars and you will get the opportunity to pitch your own project.

Entrepreneurship/ Seminars for all students and young professionals

The seminars are very useful for ambitious students who would like to create their own start-up. However, the seminars are equally interesting for students who do not have concrete plans to become entrepreneurs. Indeed, participants will gain valuable insights about entrepreneurship that can be applied in a professional context. The seminars signify a nice asset for your CV and VUB, EhB and ULB students and staff get an extensive discount. In short: these seminars are interesting and valuable for all students and young professionals!

Advanced entrepreneurship

The Advanced Seminars aim at students and young professionals with (concrete) plans to create their own start-up. During these Advanced Seminars certain business aspects are studied in further detail – like for example the design of a financial plan. Moreover, you will get the opportunity to present your own project to professionals.

Launch event for anyone interested

To initiate the seminars, a free Launch Event is organized on 28 September for anyone interested. During this event you will learn more on the content and programme of the Seminars. Furthermore – while enjoying a drink and appetizers -  you can listen to the success stories and experiences of business managers of successful VUB spin-offs.
