Light and other electromagnetic waves have a crucial role in many modern electronics. The past years researchers have developed optomechanical metamaterials which overcome the limitations inherent in natural materials, in order to control the properties of light with a high degree of precision. The paper “Do Optomechanical Metasurfaces Run Out of Time?” is written by researchers Sophie Viaene and Philippe Tassin from the Chalmers University of Technology together with Vincent Ginis (VUB and Harvard University) and Jan Danckaert (VUB).
