The first Sustainable Tuesday takes place at the Brussels Humanities, Sciences & Engineering Campus in Etterbeek. On Tuesday 21st of November, the results are being made public of the participative workshop and the online survey that VUB organised in order to clarify what a sustainable university should be according to its students and personnel. At the same time, a number of concrete initiatives will be presented. And since the transition towards a sustainable campus is not just a question of green roofs, electrical vehicles and healthy food, some members of VUB personnel will present their ideas for change as well.

Into the urban
For the other two Sustainable Tuesdays, VUB heads for the city. The venue of Tuesday 29th of November is the head office of the Belgian postal services, where professor Cathy Macharis will hold an exposé about distribution in an urban context and how to keep it all as efficient and ecological as possible in these times of e-commerce.

The last Sustainable Tuesday is planned for December 6, at the info center of the European Commission. The topic: what does it take to honour the agreement made at the Paris climate conference – limiting the warming up of the planet to 2 ° Celsius – and whom is best placed to profit from the explosive growth in low carbon services, products and production processes.
