In the fight against COVID-19, the Flemish Government decided that Flemish higher education should be 100% digital from Saturday 31 October to Wednesday 11 November. For the VUB, this means that there will be no physical classes on campus, and no practical classes or other student activities. The goal of these measures is to stop the spread of the virus.

All physical classes will be replaced by online classes. There is one exception: in the programmes Medicine and Physiotherapy practica, skills labs and internships remain possible.

Also other internships will continue as planned along the rules of the sector, in mutual understanding between student, institute of higher education and the organisation offering the internship.

Research and teleworking

For all scientific research on campus, the directive stays the same: everything from a distance, unless there is no other option.

Download the coronalert app

The VUB strongly recommends the Coronalert App. Just as it urges all students and staff to strictly follow the government's measures.
