Are you considering a career in research, but experiencing a familial and/or financial situation that hinders you in the writing of a personal FWO predoctoral fellowship application? Then this info session is of interest to you!

As part of its Equality Action Plan, the VUB seeks to make the PhD trajectory more inclusive and diverse. This initiative strives to provide equal opportunities for VUB Master students by providing financial support to excellent last-year master students with an interest to develop a research career, but whose family or financial situation hinders them to prepare a PhD research application.

More info can be found here.

The VUB Equality Team organizes in cooperation with the VUB R&D Department (Research & Development) a testimonial session and Q&A on December 17th, 2021 (12:30-14:00) with:

-             Prof. Damya Laoui (bio-engineer)

-             Prof. Najat Aourz (neuroscientist)

-             Dra Mariska Jung (political scientist)

-             Dra Dounia Bourabain (sociologist)

The session will be moderated by Prof.Dr. Karen Celis, a researcher herself and Academic Coordinator Equality.

You are welcome to attend this session, witness the testimonials and take the opportunity to ask our guests questions, exchange thoughts and doubts.

The session will take place online. The MS Teams link will be provided a few days before the event.

The VUB R&D organizes in cooperation with FWO (Fonds Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek) an info session on all the modalities that accompany such an application.

More info and registration for the session on December 16th, 2021, can be found here.
